समय से कुछ मिनट पहले कुण्ड में उपलों के टुकड़े रखें, थोड़े कपूर और घी से जलाएँ और अग्नि को साफ़ जलने दें। एक चुटकी चावल में घी की बूँद मिलाएँ।

Quelques minutes avant l’heure, posez les morceaux de bouse dans le kunda, allumez-les avec un peu de camphre et de ghee et laissez le feu brûler clair. Mêlez une pincée de riz à une goutte de ghee.

Exactly at sunrise, say the first line and offer half the rice into the fire on “Svaha”; say the second line and offer the rest.

ठीक सूर्योदय पर पहली पंक्ति बोलकर “स्वाहा” पर आधे चावल अग्नि में डालें; दूसरी पंक्ति बोलकर शेष डालें।

Exactement au lever du soleil, dites la première ligne et versez la moitié du riz dans le feu sur « Svaha » ; dites la seconde et versez le reste.

अग्नि शान्त होने तक मौन बैठें। भस्म सँभालकर रखें; वह बगीचे में काम आती है।

Restez assis en silence jusqu’à ce que le feu s’apaise. Gardez la cendre ; elle sert au jardin.
