Shri Bhargava Panchang — Delete Your Account and Data

You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. Nobody will try to talk you out of it. This page explains both ways, what goes, and the little that is kept.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Delete my account.
- Read the short summary of what will be removed, and confirm.
You are signed out at once on that phone. Your account and everything held with it are erased from our live systems within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30 days. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the app's access to your Apple ID; you can check this in your phone's Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple.
Or ask us by email
If you no longer have the app, write to support@panchang.ca with the subject Delete my account, from the email address your account uses. If you signed in with Apple using a hidden address, tell us that, and we will find the account with you.
We may ask you to confirm the request from that address, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs. We complete the deletion within 30 days and write to tell you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account identifier and your sign-in details (email address), and your profile: first and last name, and phone number if you added one.
- The places you saved.
- Your household days and any notes on them.
- Your settings: language, morning note and reminder choices.
What is kept, and for how long
- A record of your request — the email address and the date — for two years, so that we can show the deletion was carried out. It holds nothing else.
- Emails you sent to support@panchang.ca — up to two years after our last exchange, unless you ask us to delete them with the account, which we will.
- Backups — erased on their normal cycle, within 30 days after the account itself.
- Security logs at our hosting provider — a short, fixed period; they do not contain your account.
Anonymous, aggregate statistics that Apple or Google provide to us are not linked to you and are not affected.
If you never created an account
Then we hold nothing about you. Everything you set lives only on your phone. To clear it, go to Profile → Clear data on this phone, or simply remove the app — on iPhone, touch and hold its icon and choose Remove App; on Android, touch and hold its icon and choose Uninstall. Its data goes with it.
