Sing the aarti, ask forgiveness for anything missed. Walk half-way round the linga only, never crossing the channel where the water flows out.
आरती गाएँ, भूल-चूक की क्षमा माँगें। शिवलिंग की आधी परिक्रमा ही करें, जलधारा की नाली को कभी न लाँघें।
Chantez l’aarti, demandez pardon pour tout oubli. Ne faites que la moitié du tour du linga, sans jamais franchir le canal où l’eau s’écoule.
आवाहनं न जानामि न जानामि विसर्जनम्।
पूजां चैव न जानामि क्षमस्व परमेश्वर॥
Avahanam na janami na janami visarjanam,
Pujam chaiva na janami kshamasva parameshvara.
