Mahamrityunjaya Mantra

1. ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्। उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय माऽमृतात्॥

   Om tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivardhanam, Urvarukamiva bandhananmrityormukshiya ma’mritat.

   We worship the three-eyed one, fragrant, who nourishes all. As the ripe cucumber parts from its vine, may we be released from death, and not from the deathless.

   हम सुगन्धित, पोषण बढ़ाने वाले त्रिनेत्र शिव की उपासना करते हैं। जैसे पका ककड़ी बेल से छूट जाता है, वैसे ही हम मृत्यु से छूटें, अमृत से नहीं।

   Nous adorons celui aux trois yeux, parfumé, qui nourrit toute vie. Comme le concombre mûr se détache de sa tige, puissions-nous être délivrés de la mort, et non de l’immortel.
