1. हिमकुन्दमृणालाभं दैत्यानां परमं गुरुम्। सर्वशास्त्रप्रवक्तारं भार्गवं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥

   Himakundamrinalabham daityanam paramam gurum, Sarvashastrapravaktaram bhargavam pranamamyaham.

   White as snow, the jasmine and the lotus stalk, the highest teacher of the daityas, who expounds every shastra: I bow to Bhargava.

   हिम, कुन्द और कमल-नाल के समान श्वेत, दैत्यों के परम गुरु, सब शास्त्रों के वक्ता भार्गव (शुक्र) को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

   Blanc comme la neige, le jasmin et la tige du lotus, le plus grand précepteur des daityas, qui enseigne tous les shastras : je m’incline devant Bhargava.
