1. ॐ काकध्वजाय विद्महे खड्गहस्ताय धीमहि। तन्नो मन्दः प्रचोदयात्॥

   Om kakadhvajaya vidmahe khadgahastaya dhimahi, Tanno mandah prachodayat.

   May we know him whose banner bears the crow; may we meditate on him who holds the sword; may Manda, the slow one, awaken us.

   हम काक-ध्वज वाले को जानें, खड्ग धारण करने वाले का ध्यान करें; वे मन्द (शनि) हमें प्रेरित करें।

   Puissions-nous connaître celui dont l’étendard porte le corbeau ; méditer sur celui qui tient l’épée ; que Manda, le lent, nous éveille.
