1. धरणीगर्भसम्भूतं विद्युत्कान्तिसमप्रभम्। कुमारं शक्तिहस्तं तं मङ्गलं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥

   Dharanigarbhasambhutam vidyutkantisamaprabham, Kumaram shaktihastam tam mangalam pranamamyaham.

   Born of the Earth’s womb, bright as lightning, the youth with the spear in hand: I bow to Mangala.

   पृथ्वी के गर्भ से उत्पन्न, बिजली के समान कान्ति वाले, हाथ में शक्ति धारण करने वाले कुमार मंगल को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

   Né du sein de la Terre, brillant comme l’éclair, le jeune homme à la lance en main : je m’incline devant Mangala.
