1. प्रियङ्गुकलिकाश्यामं रूपेणाप्रतिमं बुधम्। सौम्यं सौम्यगुणोपेतं तं बुधं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥

   Priyangukalikashyamam rupenapratimam budham, Saumyam saumyagunopetam tam budham pranamamyaham.

   Dark as the priyangu bud, of matchless form, gentle and full of gentle virtues: I bow to Budha.

   प्रियंगु की कली के समान श्याम, अनुपम रूप वाले, सौम्य और सौम्य गुणों से युक्त बुध को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

   Sombre comme le bouton du priyangu, d’une forme sans égale, doux et riche de douces vertus : je m’incline devant Budha.
