1. ॐ क्षीरपुत्राय विद्महे अमृततत्त्वाय धीमहि। तन्नश्चन्द्रः प्रचोदयात्॥

   Om kshiraputraya vidmahe amritatattvaya dhimahi, Tannashchandrah prachodayat.

   May we know the child of the ocean of milk; may we meditate on the essence of nectar; may Chandra awaken us.

   हम क्षीरसागर के पुत्र को जानें, अमृत-तत्त्व का ध्यान करें; वे चन्द्र हमें प्रेरित करें।

   Puissions-nous connaître l’enfant de l’océan de lait ; méditer sur l’essence du nectar ; que Chandra nous éveille.
