O curved trunk, mighty form, bright as a million suns: clear every obstacle from all my works, always.
हे वक्रतुण्ड, विशालकाय, करोड़ों सूर्यों के समान तेजस्वी देव, मेरे सब कार्य सदा निर्विघ्न करें।
Ô trompe recourbée, corps immense, brillant comme des millions de soleils : écarte tout obstacle de mes œuvres, toujours.
2Bhumi vandanaभूमि वन्दनाશું કરવું
બંને હાથે ધરતીને સ્પર્શ કરો, તેમાં ખોદવા બદલ તેમની ક્ષમા માગો, અને જમીન પર રોલી, હળદર, અક્ષત અને ફૂલ અર્પણ કરો.
Touch the earth with both hands, ask her forgiveness for digging into her, and offer roli, haldi, akshata and flowers on the ground.
दोनों हाथों से धरती को छूएँ, उसे खोदने के लिए क्षमा माँगें, और भूमि पर रोली, हल्दी, अक्षत और फूल चढ़ाएँ।

Creusez la première terre à la bêche au nord-est, en une petite fosse.
શું કરવું
ચાંદીનો નાગ અને તાંબાનો લોટો (જળ, એક સિક્કો અને એક ફૂલ સાથે) ખાડામાં મૂકો, પૃથ્વીને ધારણ કરનાર શેષનું સન્માન કરતાં.
Place the silver naga and the copper pot (with water, a coin and a flower) in the pit, honouring Shesha who holds up the earth.
चाँदी का नाग और ताँबे का लोटा (जल, सिक्का और फूल सहित) गड्ढे में रखें, धरती को धारण करने वाले शेषनाग का आदर करते हुए।

ઈશાન ખૂણેથી શરૂ કરી ઘડિયાળની દિશામાં ખાડાની ફરતે પાંચ ઈંટ ગોઠવો; ખાડો પૂરી દો.
Lay the five bricks around the pit, beginning at the north-east and moving clockwise; fill the pit.
पाँचों ईंटें गड्ढे के चारों ओर रखें, ईशान से आरम्भ कर दाहिनी ओर बढ़ते हुए; गड्ढा भर दें।
Posez les cinq briques autour de la fosse, en commençant au nord-est et en tournant dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre ; comblez la fosse.
શું કરવું
દીવો ફેરવો, ભૂલચૂકની ક્ષમા માગો, અને કારીગરો તથા પરિવાર સાથે મીઠાઈ વહેંચો.
Wave the lamp, ask forgiveness for anything missed, and share sweets with the workers and the family.
दीप घुमाएँ, भूल-चूक की क्षमा माँगें, और कारीगरों व परिवार में मिठाई बाँटें।

હું નથી જાણતો કે આવાહન કેવી રીતે કરવું, નથી જાણતો વિસર્જન, નથી જાણતો પૂજાની વિધિ પણ. હે પરમેશ્વર, મને ક્ષમા કરો.
I do not know how to invite you, nor how to bid you farewell, nor even how to worship. Forgive me, Supreme Lord.
मैं न आवाहन जानता हूँ, न विसर्जन, न ही पूजा की विधि; हे परमेश्वर, मुझे क्षमा करें।
Je ne sais ni t’inviter, ni te dire adieu, ni même te rendre un culte. Pardonne-moi, Seigneur suprême.
